Re: Introduction Thread

Well, shit... I might as well throw my hat into the ring. A bit overdue, I know, but better late than never. Anyway, how's it hanging? My name's Paradox, and although I missed out on a lot of old shooters due to being born in 1997 (March 28th, to be exact), I'm sort of what you could consider a new-...

Well, well, now this is something I could definitely get used to. Kudos for digging this up, definitely going to try this when I get the opportunity to.

Make Your UT99 Less Ugly!

Been meaning to post this for a while, but I kept forgetting. Nonetheless, are you tired of your game looking like garbage with software-rendered problems such as incorrect shading , horribly dark corners , and flickering? Well you won't have to worry about any of that anymore because there's a comp...

Re: Improve Your Game (Spoofer's Tech Tips)

After that conversation we had on xpress I decided I might as well go scripting anyways. I never thought as scripts as cheats, but you really sealed the deal for me with the "maximize your potential part." Even if scriptless helps you stay sharp there's nothing wrong with having things more simpler....

Re: tfc style update

Cool stuff. Decided I might as well share what I have too. I'm not too picky with viewmodels, so i just roll with the defaults. Ditto with playermodels, ao's playermodels are just a bit too bright for my tastes, even if they also fix texture problems. Although I use new models unlike everyone else s...

Re: UT99 GOTY + patch download

Well this is pretty awesome, I'll definitely be using this to play some good ol' instagib. makes you wonder why some devs still charge you up the ass for old games though. I mean look at Q3A, that's like almost $20 on Steam if I remember correctly while at most it should just be $10.

Re: sven game night?

I'd totally be up for it. Best to play with some friends than with some random armor hoarders and rushers anyways.

Re: Preset Quakeworld and Quake 2 Clients

Yes, there are grenades and as far as I know there isn't a TF mod for Quake 2. QWTF does has special commands for the mod though. I think the commands to throw grenades are the same in TFC, bind "<KEY>" "+gren1"/"+gren2". I may be wrong though, if you do some Googling for some old guides from the Qu...

Re: Preset Quakeworld and Quake 2 Clients

QWTF is included alongside Clan Arena, but I'm not sure which versions. I know more about HL and Doom modding than Quake to be completely honest, but if you search deep enough you could probably find earlier versions of both of those (such as QWTF 2.4 which introduced the "concussion grenade glitch"...
